all nine pieces in black clay of the collection mezcalienne are designed by constance guisset following a residence in the region of oaxaca. the sombrero table, the penacho carafe and the seven vases of the collection mezcalienne are as many pieces designed and manufactured in mexico, by lalo martinez from taller 4 elementos of santa maria atzompa, selected by sylvain marcoux for his unique savoir-faire.
the sculptural vases of the collection mezcalienne are hand-turned and surmounted by a round cut vial, intended to contain the traditional alcohol of mexico. the sombrero table is a real technical challenge. its concave top resting on a turned foot recalling iconic shapes of the country. the penacho carafe is inspired by the dances of san bartolo coyotepec.
